                                               Fitting instructions

failure to follow our instructions will void guarantee

1.) you must first find the cause of the original turbo failure before fitting replacement.

1a.) most turbo failures are due to either lubrication (oil), electronic units or foreign matter entering the compressor housing,  or air leaks over speeding the turbo.

2.) must replace these items with new parts.

2a.) oil feed pipe (from engine to turbo) banjo bolts and loose filter in pipe.

2b.) e.g.r valve.

2c.) oil plus oil filter.

2d.) air filter.

2e.) gaskets and washers.

3.) check and clean or replace the following.

3a.) air box and pipe to turbo (pressure test)

3b.) oil cooler / intercooler and pipe (damage or air leaks) pressure test recommended

3c.) breather system (blockage)

3d.) turbo oil drain (clear /  no damage to pipe)

3e.) inlet and exhaust manifolds and gaskets.

3f.) oil pressure must be within manufactures tolerances.

4.) fitting and running of turbo.

a.) fill turbo inlet with oil and prime turbo by hand.

4b.) do not use any joining compound on any part of the turbo.

4c.) crank engine until oil streams out of turbo oil feed pipe before fitting turbo.

4d.) after fitting turbo crank engine for 30 seconds to build oil pressure to turbo.

4e.) plug in to diagnostic machine to check for any fault codes (repair before road test)

must get re test done after 50 to 60 miles and replace any item which reappears.

4f.) let engine idle for 3 to 5 minutes before driving (do not let engine idle for to long)

4g.) check for oil leaks, gasket leaks, air leaks any where on the engine.

special notes:

ring main dealer with chassis number and ask if there are any electrical recalls on your vehicle.

when the turbo is fitted to the vehicle it must be sent to an auto electrician to get tested for any fault codes

e.g most popular.

1.) diesel pump sensor (which controls the actuator)

2.) mass air flow sensor.

3.) manifold pressure sensor and damaged wiring.

4.) e.g.r valve.

5.) or any other electrical. all faults should be removed before test drive.

if inter cooler and pipe or connections are damaged the must be replaced for new.

check there are leaks or oil leaks any where on the engine before road test.
